The headlines today are telling of the upcoming end of Pontiac. It a long time thing coming, they need to end Buick, Saturn, GMAC as well. Of course thats just a small part of today' s story. What is buried in the
article in the Tribune is that the federal government and the auto union will hold most of the stock of GM.
So that means the problems of GM aren't very likely to be solved in any meaningful way. It will continue the kick the can down the road management that got GM to this point.
It doesn't look like GM has much of a future. It will never make money again, and will go out of business some day when the government cannot waste more money on it.
So instead of doing the hard work of doing the right thing to save this company, it will be nationalized. So it is going to cost the taxpayers big money.
We all know how well the government and unions run things. Why anyone would think this is the solution to the problem of GM is nuts. I think GM is going down! Maybe not today but within the next decade or so.
There is going to be unemployment of biblical proportions if Obama runs the economy into the ground with all this socialist nonsense. Its not just the end of Pontiac but the American auto industry and alot of other American business.
