Earth Day is a semi-holiday to some in the environmental "movement" nowadays. Its one of the many pointless things that far-left liberals have pushed on the general public in recent years. Most don't realize that and its history for various reasons. Big business has bought on to it in the last couple of years, which I find somewhat ironic. Its a feel good thing created by hippy's and other leftover 60's radicals and terrorists.
Since I don't advocate the destruction of the environment like most liberals think us conservatives do. I can't call my self a environmentalist. Because the modern environmental movement is so radical and nonsense-able now. What you see is not what there is for the most part. The "movement" is deeply anti-human and not particularly interested in the saving the environment. Its so much into politics, and politics alone.
I guess I could call myself a conservationist. Thats a term you don't see or hear about much anymore. It was made famous by Republican president Teddy Roosevelt. I think that environmentalists hate that the national park system was created by a Republican. They have worked hard at taking this issue from Republicans.
Conservation is a far better way to promote the keeping of the planet. Humans are part of the world, environmentalists hate that humans must use the earth in any way. Parts of the world should be saved, but not to the determent of the people of the world. Sane and common sense should be the guide, not the wholesale nonsense that goes for the environment movement.
The modern green movement will not save the planet. They only make it worse. Earth Day is used to mask the radical politics that they want. They cannot have their way. That why Earth Day is not worth celebrating.
Hoping for Real Change!
