Obama Makes Government Take A Quick Left Turn

Well I knew that Obama was going to do things that will not be good for our country,  our businesses,  our faith,  and the unborn.    It still is jarring though.   We no longer have a president that supports the right to life.   Scary.

Even though most foreign countries oppose abortion even more then we do,  Obama reversed the Mexico City Policy.    U.S. taxpayers will now once again be forced to  fund abortions abroad.      He waited until 7:00 pm last Friday evening to lower press coverage of the order to help cover his tracks.   Shameful,   how he knows how unpopular that policy will be, that he does it late on a weekend.

Today he will help continue bankrupting the auto industry by piling on more regulations.    He will force auto makers to make more fuel efficient before they are ready to do so and before consumers want them.    It will lead to fewer cars that people want,  so sales will not rise.   It will lead to another generation of lousy cars (remember those horrid cars of the late 1970's early 1980's) that will make people lose more confidence in American cars.

I was hoping that reality would slow or give Obama pause on doing things like the things above. I was hoping that moderation would win out,  with Obama knowing that many people who did vote for him, don't want these kinds of changes.  I was dead wrong.   "I won" was the answer to the criticism of his policy changes so far.

If the first week is any indication  he will do his best to pull the country left at all costs.

Its going to be a long four (or eight) years.

The Obama Clock:   The countdown to the next president in (hopefully) 2012
