I will not be reporting on the Obama media-love in for the next couple of days, since I am sure you are as sick of it as am I. I want to barf if I see yet another smiling picture and positive feel good story of the anointed one. I don't know what is more annoying: the negative Bush hit pieces vs the over the top positive Obama ones. Hopefully only four years!!! Hopefully only four years!!! Hopefully only four years!!!
Well, there will be lots of stories about the Bush legacy for the next couple of days. It will not be noticed much with all the Obama hype, but thats OK since most of the "mainstream" media will only note the negative.
There is plenty to be disappointed about of course, but my disappointments will be different from the ones said by the nit-wit fourth estate. They take plenty of the blame for Bush's failures.
Namely the failure of Social Security Reform. We had the best chance at real reform and ownership of our retirements in decades. But opposition from the enlightened media and the Demorat clowns in congress doomed it. So it will have to go bankrupt and many will never get to retire someday due only to morons in government.
The incredible amounts of money wasted by the government in the eight years. Especially now with the recession going on. Granted the next two to four years will dwarf the last eight. But you would have thought Democrats were running Congress the whole eight years not just the last two. President Bush should have used the veto far more often. For petes sake he only used it once in his first term! He signed everything!
But for his disappointments, a spine-less Gore would have been far worse. It's harder to be a Republican president. The elite, the media and hollywood hate you, granted that not many people but they sure are loud, annoying deadbeats that are hard to ignore. You have to clean up all the messes left behind by Democrats, and undo all the nonsense that they set up. And thats has to be done before you can do anything you want.
The biggest successes of the Bush years! Beating back Islamic terror. Setting Iraq free from Saddam. Showing the world we have spines. Tax cuts (which will unfortunately will expire). Rebuilding the military. part 2 to come!
