I read Austin Hills piece tonight
"If Obama loses in November Will America Suffer?"
I think the question should be, "If Obama wins in November Will America Suffer?"
Thats the question. America would end up with more problems that will take years to fix. I mean we are still fixing problems created by the Carter administration let alone the Clinton years.
I don't see Obama winning. But he will be hard to beat, due to uninformed voters, media cheerleading and voter cheating by the Democrats. Hopefully McCain can overcome the Obama-mania.
Why?
Even if Obama becomes the next Jimmy Carter and only has one term, the damage he could cause would be serious.
foreign policy: he doesn't have one, or much of one. The U.S. military would pay big for more Clinton-Carter like misadventures.
supreme court: Another one or two bad, liberal judges. It scary that we have gotten almost to the fortieth year of Roe v Wade and abortion is still legal. If new liberal judges get on the bench, Roe v Wade could be fifty or sixty and still not overturned.
supreme court part II: Liberal judges like misusing in citing international law, but it has no part of American law. But it would continue if more liberals on the bench.
economy: we would have a real recession that would make the current slowdown look quite tame. Obama high taxes would cause problems around the world not just here. Taxes are hard to get rid off, and does nothing to recreate the lost economic growth.
America can ill-afford a ultra-liberal at this time. Obama's naive policies and lack of useful experience also don't help either. The US will elect a black or a woman someday, but Obama isn't the one. The first black or woman president will more likely be a conservative Republican, not a liberal Democrat.
