Well, the last couple of days have been fun! I have had the flu since Monday. Nasty batch of it anyway. Well my temp has finally fallen below 100 for the first time in days. Don't really know what to write about so it will just be a little of everything.
I guess I would have given an open mouth, insert foot to Michael Richards for that stupid racist "comedy" bit. If you wonder where people get the idea that we need "speech" codes, this is it. The only surprise that Michael hasn't entered rehab for something. I guess that being on Jesse Jackson's radio show is torture enough. Not that anyone heard it.
The State of Illinois is hard at work at driving all the economic and business growth out of that state. The bill to raise the minimum wage is working its way though the Illinois House. It will pass, making yet another reason not to do business in the state of Illinois. Dumb move Illinois. It will not help the poorest workers like they think it will. People just ignore the evidence that a minimum wage increase decreases jobs.
Kudo's to Indiana governor Mitch Daniels. In spite of endless criticism of his plan to lease out and privatize the Indiana Tollway (funny how none of it happened when Mayor Daley leased out the Skyway), he managed to outsource the states paperwork. A government can't function without "creating" tons of paper. But it will be outsourced to IBM and a few other companies. And part of the deal IBM will open a new call center creating 1000 new jobs. They say it will save the state $341.6 million.
