The media would like you to believe that this election is the coming end of the Republican majority. The people voting are going to stick it to Republicans for being corrupt. All these little scandals are a big turnoff for voters. Give me a break!
If that was true, there would be very few Democrats in office. If there is a party with widespread corruption it is the Democrats! This is not a election that is going to end corruption, far from it!
If there is backlash against someone, it is likely to be politics and politicians in general. If there was a survey of just politics, I think the Democrats would find they were just as unpopular as Republicans. People aren't just tired of Republicans, they are tired of the nonsense that political hacks from all parties contiue to spread around.
Also the media would find itself on the receiving end of the backlash. They are just as guilty of spreading around the political muck as anyone. The "reporting" is terrible and getting worse. The media is guilty of trying to influence the election, so far they haven't been very successful in that. But they keep on trying which is bad.
Bottom line folks. This election isn't going to change much no matter what the media and the Democrats say.
